LiteSpeed Per Server Settings

LiteSpeed is a drop-in replacement for Apache, providing several benefits such as faster site loading times, enhanced security (via ModSecurity rules), and improved server load. LiteSpeed also includes caching plugins for major CMSs like WordPress. In addition to inheriting the Global Application settings, LiteSpeed offers specific per-server customisation options:

  1. Reset Admin Password
LiteSpeed automatically generates a randomised username and password for the admin panel upon installation. You can reset both the username and password to their default values (with the username set to Admin) using this tool.

  2. Reset Config to Default
This option resets the LiteSpeed configuration settings to safe defaults. Any custom configurations set through the LiteSpeed admin panel will be overridden and lost.
The configuration file is located at:

    • /var/local/enhance/litespeed/httpd_config.xml

These tools provide easy ways to manage LiteSpeed server settings, ensuring optimal performance and security.
