Platform Domains

Platform domains are used by your customers to access various services like the control panel, phpMyAdmin, webmail, and staging websites.

Control Panel Domain:

  • This is the domain used to log in to the control panel.
  • It is set during Enhance installation but can be updated at any time.

phpMyAdmin Domain:

  • Required for customers to access phpMyAdmin.
  • All customers on your cluster use the same domain, but resellers can set their own phpMyAdmin domain.
  • phpMyAdmin's SSO connects to the appropriate database server for each client.
  • To set:
    1. Open Settings > Platform.
    2. Navigate to Platform domains.
    3. Enter your chosen domain in the phpMyAdmin field (e.g., phpmyadmin.[yourcontrolpanel.com]).
    4. Click Save and ensure DNS points to your control panel server IP.

Roundcube Domain:

  • Used by customers to access email via webmail.
  • Resellers can set their own Roundcube domain for customers.
  • The domain must be set if you offer email services.
  • To set:
    1. Open Settings > Platform.
    2. Navigate to Platform domains.
    3. Enter your chosen domain in the Roundcube field.
    4. Click Save and ensure DNS points to your control panel server IP.

Staging Domain:

  • Required for staging websites.
  • Customers use this domain as a suffix when adding staging websites.
  • All customers on your cluster use the same domain for staging, but resellers can set their own.
  • To set:
    1. Open Settings > Platform.
    2. Navigate to Platform domains.
    3. Enter your chosen domain in the Staging field.
    4. Click Save.
    • Warning: Staging domains should be delegated to the Enhance DNS cluster; an A record alone is not sufficient.
