Installing the Database Role

To run the database role on a server, ensure that port 3306 is allowed on your firewall.

It's recommended to install the Database role on each of your Application servers for better performance.

How to Add the Database Role to a Server:

  1. In the left sidebar, click Servers.

  2. Select the server where you want to add the Database role.

  3. Click Add role and check the Database box.

  4. Choose your preferred database type and version (MySQL 8.0 - 8.1 or MariaDB 10.0 LTS and 11.0).
    Note: You cannot change the database type later.

  5. Click Add role to finish the process.

You can navigate away from the server page while the service is being installed. You’ll receive a notification once the installation is complete.
