Step 1: Access the Site Backup Menu

  1. Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel.

  2. Click the Site Backup icon on the main control panel screen.

You will see multiple options for backing up different aspects of your account.

Backup Options Explained

Website Data

  • Domains Directory:
    • Backs up all files within your domain directory, including:
      • logs, private_html, public_ftp, public_html, and stats.
    • Subdomains are also included as they reside in the public_html folder.
    • Choose this option if you only need your website's content, excluding account settings.

Subdomain Lists

  • Saves the names of all subdomains you’ve created.
  • Does not include the files within subdomains.
  • Recommended if you have many subdomains to avoid manually recreating them during restoration.

      • Anonymous FTP settings.
      • Permissions for anonymous uploads.

Databases

    • Backup frequently to safeguard against data loss.
