Cloning Websites in Enhance

Cloning a website replicates all files and databases from an existing site. Email accounts are not included in the clone. A website can only be cloned within the same organisation.

Configure Cloning Functionality

To enable cloning, ensure:

  1. The hosting package allows "Website cloning".
  2. The application server for the cloned site:
    • Uses the default SSH port (22).
    • Allows connections to port 22 from the server hosting the original website.

Note: Custom SSH ports will cause cloning to fail.

Steps to Clone a Website

  1. Open Websites in the left menu.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Select Clone a Website and complete the form.
  4. Click Add to finish.

This feature ensures efficient duplication for testing or migration within the same organisation.
