Plesk Importer

Overview

Enhance's Plesk importer tool, currently in BETA, allows you to migrate a Plesk backup to Enhance. While the tool is functional, you may encounter some unexpected behavior. Any issues can be reported to support@enhance.com.

This tool will restore a full website backup from Plesk to Enhance. However, some proprietary Plesk features are not supported and will not be copied.

What Gets Imported:

  • Primary website
  • Sub and alias domains (mapped to a single website)
  • All files
  • All databases
  • Installed applications
  • Email accounts (including passwords and email data)
  • Forwarder-only accounts
  • Existing SSL certificates
  • Scheduled tasks
  • PHP version
  • FTP accounts
  • MX and TXT records (for SPF)

What Is Not Supported:

  • Postgres databases
  • Wildcard subdomains
  • Mailman settings
  • Directory privacy
  • Catch-all email addresses
  • Autoresponders
  • Calendars and contacts
  • Existing statistics
  • Error pages

Steps to Import a Plesk Backup:

  1. In Enhance, go to Website Importer in the left sidebar.

  2. Click New import and select Plesk.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to generate a compatible Plesk backup (must be a full backup and not password-protected).
  4. Save the backup as a file on your desktop.
