Overview

The Email role in Enhance enables email functionality for your hosting services, offering the following features:

• POP/IMAP: Handled by Dovecot for receiving emails.
• SMTP: Managed by Postfix for sending emails.
• Spam Filtering: Rspamd is used for filtering unwanted messages.

By installing the Email role, you can create hosting packages with:

• Full email accounts for sending and receiving messages.
• Forwarder-only accounts for redirecting emails.

Key Details:

• Customers can send emails via SMTP and receive them through POP/IMAP.
• The email account's username is always the full email address.
• If a website is mapped to an Email role server, it can send messages using sendmail or PHP mail(). A replacement sendmail binary is added to the PHP container to route these messages through the website's SMTP server using a hidden mailbox.
