Installing the Email Role

Firewall Requirements:
Ensure the following ports are open on your firewall for the Email role to function correctly:

  • POP/IMAP: 143, 110, 993, 995
  • SMTP: 25, 587, 465

The Email role can be installed on any server in your Enhance cluster, whether it’s a new or existing server.

Steps to Install the Email Role:

  1. Navigate to Servers in the left sidebar.
  2. Select the server where you want to add the Email role.
  3. Click Add role and check the Email box.
  4. Fill out the required form and click Add role.
    • Ensure the hostname resolves to the server and has a matching reverse DNS.

Additional Tips:

  • You can leave the server page while the installation is in progress. You'll be notified once it's completed.
  • The Email role is not automatically assigned to websites. To map existing websites to this role, use the Move server option in the left-hand menu.
