Disaster Recovery
Enhance provides an easy way to restore website data (files, databases, and email accounts) in case of a hardware failure or disaster. You can restore data from the last available backup to another server within your cluster.
Steps to Recover a Server and Restore Websites:
- Mark the problematic server:
- Go to Servers in the left sidebar.
- Select the problematic server and choose Mark as decommissioned from the dropdown menu.
- Restore websites:
- After the server is marked as decommissioned, it will appear in the Decommissioned server group.
- Select Restore websites. This will take you to the Move server page, where all websites on the decommissioned server are preselected.
- Choose a new server location, and the websites will be restored from backup.
Important Notes:
- Mailbox passwords: After restoring, you must manually reset the passwords for individual mailboxes.
- Server deletion: You cannot delete a server that still contains website data.
