Enhance offers advanced logic for provisioning websites, ensuring optimal use of your infrastructure.

Global Website Server Placement

This setting controls where new websites are provisioned across servers.

  • Least load: Places the website on the server with the lowest historical load, provided the server is up.
  • Least websites: Places the website on the server with the fewest websites, ideal for scaling as new servers receive all new websites.
  • Random: Randomly selects a server for website placement, ensuring even distribution if you deploy a large cluster at once.

Note: Disabled server roles are ignored for placement.

To Configure Global Website Server Placement:

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Go to Platform settings and scroll to Server placement.

Tip: Server placement rules are overridden by plan server groups and dedicated servers.

Force Website Server Placement

Override the platform’s placement logic when adding a website.

Tip: This option is only available to the Master Organization. Resellers and end users will have their websites placed according to the platform's logic.

To Override Server Placement for a Website:

  1. Click Websites in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Add website.
  3. Scroll to Server placement, select your server location, and click Add.

Disable Website Placement on a Server

Prevent new websites from being provisioned to a specific server. Existing websites on the server will remain unaffected.

To Disable Website Placement:

  1. Click Servers in the left sidebar.
  2. Select the server where you want to stop website placement.
  3. Scroll to Roles and, for each tab (excluding DNS), click Disable placement.
  4. Confirm by clicking Disable.
