Deleting Files and Folders Using DirectAdmin’s File Manager

DirectAdmin’s File Manager provides a straightforward way to delete files and folders. Follow the steps below to safely remove files or folders from your hosting account.

Step 1: Select the File(s) or Folder(s)

  1. Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel.
  2. Open the File Manager and navigate to the directory where the file(s) or folder(s) you want to delete are located.
  3. Place a checkmark in the last column next to the file(s) or folder(s) you wish to delete.

Step 2: Initiate Deletion

  1. Scroll to the bottom-right corner of the table and click the Delete button.

Step 3: Confirm Deletion

  1. A popup message will appear asking, "Are you sure you want to delete these files?"
  2. Click OK to confirm.
    • The selected files and/or folders will be permanently removed from the server.

Important Notes

  • Deleting Folders: When you delete a folder, all files and subfolders within it will also be permanently deleted.
  • Caution: Ensure you have backups of important files or folders before deletion. Deleted items cannot be recovered through File Manager.
  • Use with Care: Double-check your selection to avoid accidentally deleting the wrong files or folders.
