Deleting E-Mail Accounts in DirectAdmin
If you need to remove unnecessary or outdated e-mail accounts, DirectAdmin provides a simple way to delete them. Follow these steps to clean up your e-mail accounts:
Step 1: Access the E-Mail Menu

Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel.

Navigate to the E-Mail Menu.
- Click on the "POP3 E-Mail Accounts" link.
Step 2: Select the E-Mail Accounts to Delete

On the POP3 E-Mail Accounts page, you will see a list of all the e-mail accounts associated with your domain.

Locate the account(s) you wish to delete.
- Check the box next to the account(s).
Step 3: Delete the Selected Accounts

After selecting the accounts to delete, click the "Delete Selected" button.

A confirmation message will appear to ensure you want to proceed with the deletion.
Important Notes
- Default Account: The default account (e.g., username@yourdomain.com) cannot be deleted as it is tied to your control panel login.
- Irreversible Action: Once an account is deleted, all its associated e-mails and data are permanently removed from the server. Ensure you back up any important data before deletion.
Additional Tips
- Regularly review and delete unused accounts to free up server space.
- Notify users before deleting their accounts to avoid disruptions.
- If you wish to retain e-mails from a deleted account, download them using an e-mail client before proceeding.
